Skin aging is due to several reasons:

• As we age, our body regenerates cells at a slower rate, including the skin's epidermal and dermis cells. Thus, accumulating old dead epidermis cells makes our skin look dull and dry with wrinkles.  

• Secondly, decreased collagen and elastin formations. These two elements support and maintain our skin contours. Loss of collagen and elastin together makes our skin look thinner and fragile, and our skin loses its full, youthful look.

• As we age, narrowing blood vessels reduce the blood supply of nutrients to our skin.

• Together, these result in thinning skin, discoloration, dull complexion, wrinkles, fragility, and exhaustion. 

• Traditional anti-aging skincare is focused on removing old skin cells and dark spots with a chemical peel. ​The chemical is very painful and thins the skin.
